Abstract

Due to the increasing life expectancy most women nowadays suffer from menopausal problems. These include not only menopausal symptoms, but also osteoporosis and atherosclerosis. Hormone replacement therapy therefore is a measure for keeping physiological standards. It has both preventive and therapeutic importance, for the individual as well as for the public. Menopause Management is a task for lifestyle medicine, as a combination of pharmaceutical treatment and lifestyle changes. The women and physicians are working in a menopause managing team, and prevention and treatment of diseases and disorders are not separated.
