Abstract

Four toddlers presented with acute limp due to fracture of the calcaneus. Such fractures were originally described as rare, a contributory factor for this view almost certainly being the absence of radiographic abnormalities in a significant number of cases. The importance of bone scintigraphy early in the course of investigation is emphasized.
